Karl Rove, a famous rap musician, is a very very sad man.

Today’s Edition: ‘Ew, get away from me, Sheryl Crow. Eww…I’m not listening. I’M NOT LISTENING!’

In his attempt to dismiss us, Mr. Rove turned to head toward his table, but as soon as he did so, Sheryl reached out to touch his arm. Karl swung around and spat, “Don’t touch me.” How hardened and removed from reality must a person be to refuse to be touched by Sheryl Crow? Unphased, Sheryl abruptly responded, “You can’t speak to us like that, you work for us.” Karl then quipped, “I don’t work for you, I work for the American people.” To which Sheryl promptly reminded him, “We are the American people.” Read the rest of this entry »

I meant to post this earlier today, when I first read it in the StarTribune. Now CrooksnLiars has picked it up, too.

The idea of developing a plan for 3,000 arrests drew sharp criticism this week from the American Civil Liberties Union in Minnesota, which said it was far too high and represented an overreaction by authorities.

Also included in the projected expenses is $350,000 in riot equipment and Tasers to control protesters engaged in civil disobedience. Read the rest of this entry »

First off, I apologize for a glaring oversight. I have not linked to the wonderful Breathe Fargo blog yet. I thought it was in my blogroll, but I guess all the rock I’ve smoked has finally gotten to me. Please accept my apologizes.

Next, I apologize if I ever lead anyone to believe Newt Gingrich was a complete asshole. He’s only 98% asshole. After listening to his recent debate with John Kerry on global warming (which, amazingly was NOT a debate over whether it actually exists…but about how to fix the problem), I can at least respect the man on the issue. WASHINGTON (AP) - Karl Rove’s lawyer on Friday dismissed the notion that President Bush’s chief political adviser intentionally deleted his own e-mails from a Republican-sponsored server, saying Rove believed the communications were being preserved in accordance with the law.

The issue arose because the White House and Republican National Committee have said they may have lost e-mails from Rove and other administration officials. Democratically chaired congressional committees want those e-mails for their probe of the firings of eight federal prosecutors. Read the rest of this entry »
