okay, now that even fucking bill o’reilly can see that this war is lost, can we please leave?

if you’ve lost o’reilly, it’s safe to say you’ve lost the country.

“The whole thing is tragic and depressing, complicated and dangerous,” O’Reilly concluded. “After more than four years, Iraq remains a huge stone around America’s neck.”

i don’t think anyone can say it better than jon swift.

In Los Angeles a judge ordered Paris Hilton to come before him and just like those Roman slaves in Spartacus, I, along with millions of Americans, cry out, “I am Paris Hilton!”

What has always made America different from other countries is that every citizen has an equal opportunity to become rich or, at least, to inherit great wealth. That is the American dream. That is why most Americans oppose high taxes for the wealthy and death taxes because they know that someday they might be well off themselves. Read the rest of this entry »

Torturers feel…tortured????

I know I was just as confused when I saw that as well. Luckily the Washington Post was able to clear it all right up for me.

In Iraq, when Tony Lagouranis interrogated suspects, fear was his friend, his weapon. He saw it seep, dark and shameful, through the crotch of a man’s pants as a dog closed in, barking.
